Still Life with Green Marble Egg
About a dozen years ago, I bought a small collection of stone eggs for use in my studio. They’re all about the same size and shape as regular eggs, but are crafted from many different types of stone, and have a beautiful variety of features, like this one made from veined green marble. I haven’t used them in a painting for a long time, but they do bring a real sense of playful quirkiness.
I finish between 1 and 4 paintings every month, and show them to my subscribers first.
