"Two Shells on a Ledge"

This week’s featured painting is “Two Shells on a Ledge” from 2019.  It is done with oil on panel, and measures 1.5 x 2 inches.

“Two Shells on a Ledge” is one of my miniature paintings – in fact it’s about the size of a large postage stamp.

Though many of my paintings are of standard size, I think at heart I’m a miniaturist.

To me, there is something utterly magical about being able to see an entire work of art in the palm of your hand – to hold a complete painted world between your fingertips.
