Refreshments, anyone?
Ok… we all know the best part of a gallery opening is the wine and cheese table, right?
While I can’t offer you that here, these paintings will serve up some refreshment in their own way.
So the story of these paintings actually involves a gallery.
I no longer show in galleries, though I used to (I think this way of sharing art is better in so many ways).
Sometimes the gallery owners would ask for paintings of certain themes or subjects, feeling sure they could sell them.
Sometimes they could, sometimes they couldn’t.
This was the latter. A gallery asked for a series of five small liquor-themed paintings, which the owner was certain would sell.
Of course, at the end of the season, I got them all back.
They remained in a box in my studio until this week, when I came across them while looking for the Voladores paintings I showed you before.
While they are very simple and not exactly characteristic for me, I forgot how much I actually like them. They belong on a wall, not in a box.
So, I’m offering all five as a set. As a group, they will make the perfect statement for a bar, den, or even kitchen.
And, if alcohol is not entirely to your taste, the next painting might just be your cup of tea.
If you would prefer to see all of the paintings in the show at once, you can skip ahead to the gallery page.

I finish between 1 and 4 paintings every month, and show them to my subscribers first.
